Poker Superstars III is a poker game program developed by Funkitron, Inc. and published by WildTangent, Inc. It is the third Poker Superstars entry from Funkitron based on the TV show Poker Superstars III – Gold Chip Challenge. In this game, the player has the opportunity to play with 15 poker legends from the TV series including Freddy Deeb, Mimi Tran, Cyndy Violette and Barry Greenstein.
The game also features Achievements. If the player achieves a certain goal, he will get a special gold poker chips for that. For example, there is the Big Pot award for winning at least $1,000,000 pot. Getting ten pocket aces gives the player the Frequent Flier achievement. Other achievements include Major Earnings, Double Knockout and 5-hand Streak. The game also tracks the player’s pots won percentage, total winnings, best hands and flops seen percentage to help players review their game.
Poker Superstars III offers four gameplay modes – Season Play, Limit Play, Challenge, and Single Round.
• Season Play – In this mode, players can play with AI poker legends in an entire tournament season.
• Limit Play – This mode provides longer poker sessions, wherein the chips a player can raise or bet are limited.
• Challenge – This is a new feature in the Poker Superstars series, wherein players complete 12 different challenges with particular objectives and setups. For instance, eliminating at least two players in a tournament gives the players another $300,000 worth of chips.
